Happiness is on the way... hands on the handlebars (VTT-VTC-VTTAE-Gravel) 28 marked trails from 6.2 to 53 km - 900 km of marked trailsLocated in the heart of the Bresse region, La Plaine tonique is an area entirely dedicated to leisure activities. It brings together on the same site, a four-star campsite, an aquatic area, a restaurant and a lake dedicated to aquatic and nautical leisure activities, as well as a "Pavillon bleu" beach. 140 hectares of greenery, between lakes and river, provide the backdrop for a day visit, short or long stay. Five interconnected lakes, with beaches, picnic and barbecue tables, playgrounds, a Maison des Sports... a concentration of leisure activities and services. The large lake is the ideal starting point for exploring the byways and landscapes of the Bresse bocage. Home to the characteristic Bresse farmhouses with their Saracen chimneys, this is also the land of the famous Bresse poultry, as well as Bresse PDO butter and cream. Along the Reyssouze river, you'll discover a combination of heritage and nature, mills, wet meadows and gravel pits. Bresse is also a land of ponds, including Pontremble, one of the largest and a favorite of migratory birds, and Bizadan, a Sensitive Natural Area, a marsh in the heart of the forest. A mix of paths between hills and valleys to discover a bocage territory dotted with the famous Saracen chimneys typical of Bresse half-timbered farms. Grandval farmhouse, named after an ancient parish, has been brought back to life by Morgan Benoît, the new owner since 2021. The great room, with its fireplace and period furniture, is open to visitors by special arrangement during the Heritage Days.The Grandval farmhouse dates back to the very early 16th century. The oak used to support the Saracen fireplace was felled in 1503. The Saracen fireplace was listed as a historic monument in 1925, and the body of the house in 1981. In 2021, the farm was bought by Benoît Morgan, a heritage enthusiast from Mézériat, where his grandparents and great-grandparents were millers. The farm is open for Heritage Days in September. In 2023, more than 400 people visited it. PLEASE NOTE: Exceptionally open on request and for the European Heritage Days.

La ferme de Locel est toujours en activité. Elle présente une architecture bressane traditionnelle, dans sa construction et dans l'agencement de ses bâtiments.Le bâtiment a été remanié mais la poutre maîtresse de la Maison (habitation) est datée de 1529. En façade se trouvent deux ""peutons"" (avancée de toit permettant d'accéder au grenier par un escalier extérieur) ; habituellement, il n'y en a qu'un. La toiture était encore très récemment garnie d'une mitre carrée à deux étages, surmontée d'une pyramide portant une croix en fer forgé. Mais la mitre s'est écroulée en 2017-2018. La toiture et la cheminée sont classées Monuments Historiques depuis 1944.

Ferme Bressane avec cheminée sarrasine classée monument historique.Ferme-auberge, datant du 16ème siècle, partiellement reconstruite à l'identique par les architectes de France suite à un incendie en 1992, la bâtisse principale est classée monument historique et fait office de ferme auberge (2 salles de restaurant.) Visite réservée aux clients de l'auberge ses jours d'ouverture, le reste du temps, le bâtiment est en partie d'habitation privée.

The Montalibord farmhouse features a Saracen-style mantel with a square, pyramidal bolster of an uncommonly abraded form. It is surmounted by a wrought-iron cross and its sides are decorated with triangular imbrications.Dendrochronological analyses show that the house was built in 1450, 1517-1518 and underwent several alterations in 1780. The chimney and roof were listed in 1944, and the whole farmhouse in 1974. Beautifully flowered in fine weather, it is still in business today (Charolais cattle, pond fishing and tourist accommodation = gîte and chambres d'hôtes). Inhabited until the mid-70s, it still has an open-air fireplace and period furniture (19th c. or even earlier), in particular an imposing archebanc (ancestral bench) with storage and a table. Also on display are a salt chair, a four-poster bed, tables and benches for meals, a tourti (bread ladder), a sink stone, a chest... In the old rooms, a presentation of the farm from 1932 to the present day, with a few tools and photos showing the evolution of farming techniques, but also the philosophy that has always prevailed on this farm over the three generations that have succeeded one another: the quest for quality. The eco-museum can be visited daily. Guided tours available on request.

Situé dans un beau cadre naturel préservé, ce petit édifice est alimenté par le bief de l’Etang Morel. Ce moulin possédait deux roues à aube à l'époque. Il est représentatif des moulins typiques de Bresse.Il s’agit d’un moulin d’étang c’est-à-dire placé sur l’exutoire de l’étang. Il bénéficie donc d’un faible débit et son fonctionnement est lié aux périodes de pluies et aux vidanges des pièces d’eau principalement liées à l’activité piscicole. L'étang Morel est inscrit à l’inventaire des ZNIEFF de type 1 (Zones naturelles d’Intérêts Ecologique Faunistique et Floristique) Plus vaste étang de la commune de Vescours, il s’inscrit dans un réseau d'étangs plus petits que lui. Sa superficie remarquable lui permet d'attirer une importante avifaune hivernante. On compte en effet de nombreux oiseaux migrateurs l’hiver. La proximité d'une vieille chênaie est aussi favorable aux pics. Les paysages ouverts et les zones de nourrissages liées aux pâtures voisines confèrent à ce plan d’eau toute sa beauté et sa richesse faunistique.
