Day Hike Houffalize - Secret valleys and wild paths

Start from the tourist office and head to the Pré Lion, a lovely green area in the center of the city, rich in historical memories.

At the intersection with the post office, turn right and follow the trail of the Escapardenne, sign white wave on a blue rectangle. This route leads you to the charming « Cabanes de Rensiwez ». Tip: At the top of the street “Rue de Schaerbeek”, after the tank, continue along the Escapardenne, turning right into the St-Roch Street.

Arriving at the “Cabanes de Rensiwez”, leave the Escapardenne trail and go down to the reception, a peaceful spot nestled in the Ourthe Valley.

From the reception area, leave the domain and cross the Rensiwez bridge on your left.

After the bridge, turn right and continue straight ahead on the road. Just before the next bridge, turn left to take a path alongside Martin Moulin river.

Follow this path until you reach the Stone bridge. Cross it and follow the signage marked with a blue cross C.

Follow this enchanting path until you come to apath marked with a blue rectangle T. Follow it by turning right.

Continue to the road at the entrance of the picturesque village of Achouffe, known for its enchanting atmosphere (ideal place for a refreshing break). Turn right and go up again on your right along the narrow path.

Join the GR15 (red and white line) and follow it towards Fin de Ville, an emblematic district of Houffalize.

At « Fin de Ville », cross the tunnel under the motorway and follow the green mountain bike signs (6) to get back to your starting point at Place Janvier 45.
