Description

A route that will take you to the Escalette plateau and its mountain pastures. Your efforts won't be in vain, as there's a fine reward in store for you. A breathtaking panorama (if you have any left) of Aneto, the highest peak in the Pyrenees, and the timeless Garonne valley below.

This loop begins with a climb on a forest track, which at first glance is not very difficult but can be exhausting in very hot weather. You'll come down on a fairly technical path through the woods, which will take you back to the Col de Menté and Le Mourtis.
