Description
Discover the secrets of water power and industrial development in the Thur valley - educational panels along the way take you back in time to the days when the Thur was lined with mills: paper mills, flour mills, oil mills and more. The route starts at Lac de Kruth-Wildenstein, the largest reservoir in the Massif des Vosges, which is a wonderful leisure base overlooked by the ruins of Schlossberg castle. The Thur Valley cycle route takes you to the Wesserling park, the textile Ecomuseum and its gardens, and Thann, the southern gateway to the Alsace Wine Route.
