Boucle des Convers
Description
Take the old path once trod by the lay brothers from the monastery and discover a little-known corner of Salève, with its alpine pastures, chalet, Sauge footpath and the village of Saint Blaise. There's a splendid view of the Geneva area.
On the way, you can admire the magnificent Pomier Charterhouse. In terms of geology, you will see the limestone rocks of Balme. As you pass the chalet, you'll find some remarkable trees. You can also take a break in the village of St Blaise. From the cemetery, follow the sightseeing trail with its entertaining information boards describing the development of the village (1 hr maximum).

Chartreuse de Pomier
An exceptional venue for your private receptions: wedding, birthday, baptism, communion, …and your corporate events: seminars, team building, conference, corporate evening, product launch … 20 minutes from Geneva and Annecy. At the foot of the “Salève”.For 600 years, the Pomier Charterhouse was a place of prayer and meditation. During the last century, turned into a hotel-restaurant, it has welcomed many guests. The renovation of the Pomier Charterhouse, at the start of the 21st century, was conceived to maintain this vocation of reflection and welcome thanks to the refurbishment of this historic site.
Via Ferrata
Scarp slopes with cables and ladders. An adrenalin rush without danger. Instruction from a high-altitude mountain guide. Via ferrata: Salève, Fort l'Ecluse. Level: easy to intermediate.

Tips
During the walk you can visit the visitors centre (Maison du Salève) in Mikerne by taking the left-hand path before Pomier. This was the Carthusians' old barn. Now it contains exhibitions on aspects of the history of the Salève area and its "firsts" (the invention of rock climbing, famous people who stayed here etc.). You can also step inside its eco-shop and buy a souvenir. A via ferrata called Revacliez lies in the rocks at Pomier and there is no limit on access. Do not use it from February to June, to avoid disturbing the pair of peregrine falcons that nest there.

Reception complements
The footpath can be steep and rocky in parts. When crossing the pastures, do not damage the fences or water supply. Do not frighten the animals and keep your dog on a lead.
