Hiking tour from Soultz-sous-Forêts to the Fort of Schoenenbourg

A walking trail from Soultz-sous-Forêts railway station to the Fort of Schoenenbourg, a key site on the Maginot Line. A walk through town, nature and historical heritage. From the station, follow the signs for the supermarket Match and join the official start of the GR531 trail at the back of the car park. Interactive terminal and motorhome service area on site at the start of the GR531. Continue towards Retschwiller and then the Fort of Schoenenbourg . A fascinating visit to the Fort on the theme of the Maginot Line is a must. Return to the village of Schoenenbourg then Hermerswiller.
