

After discovering the little village of Romme, you'll head off towards the Vormy mountain pasture, where you can sample some local cheeses. You will then continue your hike through the mountain pastures, finishing the day in the village of Le Reposoir.

You then cross magnificent stretches of mountain pasture, punctuated by breathtaking views of the neighbouring peaks. The village of Le Reposoir, with its peace and authenticity, welcomes you at the end of the day. Don't miss a visit to Le Carmel and Lac du Carmel, a place steeped in serenity. The first stage ends at the hotel-restaurant ‘La Chartreuse’.

Meet at the Col de Romme, a small hamlet of Nancy-sur-Cluses. Once at the pass, cross the village and park in the car park next to the basin and the bus shelter.

From Romme to the Col de la Gueule à Vent :
From Romme, head towards ‘Pointe d'Areu’. Keep following the signs for ‘Pointe d'Areu’ and you will pass through ‘Romme’, ‘Le Creux de Sable’, ‘Les Lays’, ‘Chalet des Vuardes’, ‘Porzet’, ‘Sous la Tête de la Sallaz’ and then ‘Sur Chalet de Vormy’. From the Vormy mountain pasture, the path gradually levels out, allowing you to admire the many panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks. Follow the signs for the Col de la Gueule à Vent. Continue in this direction, passing the ‘Chalets de Vormy’ and ‘Sous Tête des Muets’. You will arrive at the ‘Col de Gueule à Vent’.
From the Col de la Gueule à Vent to the Chartreuse du Reposoir :
Continue towards ‘Le Reposoir’ passing through: ‘From the Col de la Gueule à Vent to the Chartreuse du Reposoir: Continue towards Le Reposoir, passing through Méry, Le Vélard, Les Escaliers de Sommier and as far as La Lanche: you will come to a car park.
From the car park, take the carriageway towards ‘Le Reposoir’ for 1.5km. Cross the bridge on your left and follow the signs for ‘Le Bassin’. You will pass the Ferme de Vallon, continue as far as the Cross. Take the path that climbs up on your left, behind the Cross. Continue up this path through the woods, past the wooden footbridge and past the Bassin. Leave the woods and continue downhill towards the Chartreuse du Reposoir.
From the Chartreuse du Reposoir to the church :
Walk down the road alongside Lac du Carmel. Take the path on the left to return to the undergrowth. Continue as far as the Croix de Fréchet and head back down the path, then the road towards the village of Le Reposoir and the church.
