Empruntez la rue de l’Eglise, vers la place du Général de Gaulle, puis suivez à gauche la rue Pasteur. Après le petit pont, au-dessus de l’Hirondelle Mineure, engagez vous à droite sur la ruelle et encore à droite après 20 m.

Suivez à gauche la « ruelle à bocs » – en patois local, un boc est un écureuil. Au bout, effectuez un crochet droite-gauche pour cheminer sur la ruelle Leroux et plus loin à gauche sur celle des Tuileries. Ce sont deux pittoresques sentiers bordés et haies appelés « caches ».

Tournez à droite – lieu dit « Cul-du- Four ». 300 m plus loin, suivez en face le sentier « Perds tes Peines». Les contrebandiers de Bousies allaient chercher le tabac en Belgique en passant à travers la forêt de Mormal. Ces sentiers étaient surveillés par les douaniers. Dans la fuite ou pour tromper ces derniers, les contrebandiers devaient parfois abandonner la marchandise illégale, fruit de leurs peines.

A la croisée des sentiers, continuez tout droit. Au bout, empruntez à droite la rue bordée de fermes et d’habitations traditionnelles. Après 500 m, engagez vous à droite sur la ruelle Cott Codac. Vue sur le village et ses pommeraies. Les prairies sont bordées de haies d’aubépines, d’églantiers, de ronces avec parfois des plantes grimpantes comme le houblon, la clématite des haies, le liseron ou le chèvrefeuille des bois.

Empruntez à droite la rue Victor Hugo. Notez les nombreux pignons de rue des maisons typiques du Cambrésis. Au coin de la ruelle Dumez se tenait, au XVIIe s., le siège de la confrérie des Archers devenu, au début du XIXe s., celui des Arbalétriers. Tournez à gauche (ruelle Dumez) et encore à gauche. Tournez à droite pour rejoindre la place de l’église et le Musée des Evolutions.
