Fancy discovering the Doller Valley in a different way? Mount your bike and take a 20-kilometer ride between Burnhaupt-le-Haut and Sewen! This route takes you to the heart of the peaceful and verdant landscapes of the southern Vosges, between meadows, typical villages, and shaded forests.
Most of the route is on a smooth, pleasant, and relatively easy path, ideal for a family outing or with friends. However, it is useful to know some of the specifics of the course:
- You will ride on a well-maintained track, perfect for a peaceful ride.
- From Lauw entrance to Masevaux-Niederbruck entrance, the bike path runs alongside the road and is only separated by a simple ground marking. Caution is therefore advised, especially in the presence of automobile traffic.
- Between the entrance to Masevaux-Niederbruck and the Masevaux-Niederbruck fire station, the trail disappears completely. Cyclists must take the road, which is a bit of a challenge.
Once you've made your way through these small portions, you can fully enjoy the clean air and natural charm of the high valley, all the way to the village of Sewen, nestled at the foot of the mountains.
Consider taking a few breaks along the way: picnic areas, small heritage sites, and viewpoints overlooking the Doller are scattered throughout this beautiful nature trail.
