Location complements

From the town of Arlanc, take the D906 for 3 km. Then turn off onto the
D 202 towards the village of Dore-l'Église

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

1/ From the church, head towards the inn and follow the main street. 200 m further on, turn right onto the D202 towards Bonneval. Cross the Brelieraud and take the track on the left. Keep to this path for 1 km. At the clearing (view of the Forez mountains on the left), continue straight ahead. At the plateau, continue straight ahead. 150 m further on, at the crossroads (view of Monts du Forez to the left), turn right. Take this path down to the stream. Climb back up, keeping to the main path.

2/ Cross Montel Lansegude by the road (view of the Forez mountains) and continue to Mas de Grandrif. At the crossroads, cut off the road and take the path opposite. Follow it for 300 m and take the path to the right through the woods (view of the Arlanc plain). Follow the main path. At the plateau, turn left. Keep to the same path until you reach the road. Turn left.

3/ 250 m further on, take the track on the left. At the crossroads, turn left down to the stream. Ignore a track on the right and follow the main road to the crow's-foot (view of the town of Arlanc and its plain). Turn right towards Barsac (view of the Arlanc plain, Livradois and Forez mountains), cross the hamlet by the road. At the crossroads, take the road to the right. After 80 m, take the path on the left. Continue straight ahead.

4/ At the crossroads, turn right, then left to reach the D202 (view of the Arlanc plain and Livradois mountains). Follow it to the right for 200 m, then take the road to the left towards Les Sauvades. In the hamlet, take the path furthest to the right. At the "patte d'oie" (goose foot), continue straight ahead until you reach the road. Follow it to the left (view over the Arlanc plain and Livradois mountains) as far as Fousson.

5/ Cross this hamlet, staying on the road, and follow it out of the village. At the crow's-foot, go straight down to Périssanges. Continue straight through the hamlet. At the chapel, continue straight ahead. At the next crossroads, go straight ahead on the road to La Boisserie. Follow the road to the left as far as Dore-l'Église.
