Description

Set entirely within the Drôme department, this 82-kilometer loop takes cyclists through the heart of the Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature Park. Along the way, riders will tackle several of the area’s iconic mountain passes (such as the Col de Perty and the Col Saint Jean). The route also winds along iconic rivers like the Toulourenc, the Méouge, and the Ouvèze.

From Laborel, this route begins with a climb to Col Saint Jean (328 m elevation gain).
Descend to Izon-la-Bruisse and Eygalayes, where the twists and turns come one after another.
Return to the D542 and ride on to Séderon. It’s time to climb the Col de Macuègne, with an average gradient of 4.7% (elevation gain of 262 m). It offers a magnificent view of the north face of Mont Ventoux.
Head to Montbrun-les-Bains, a renowned spa town and medieval village listed among the most beautiful villages in France.
Follow the D159, which runs alongside the Toulourenc (a river fed by Mont Ventoux that flows through a deep gorge, making for a lovely, refreshing stop).
After Aulan and the Col d’Aulan, take the D546 to cycle to St-Auban-sur-l’Ouvèze. From there, the climb begins up the famous Col de Perty (an 18-km-long ascent with a 698-meter elevation gain).
Continue on the D65 along the Ouvèze (a tributary of the Rhône) and reach the pass via a series of hairpin turns. The route ends on a high note with a beautiful descent from the pass down to Laborel.
