Description

Friends who are walkers or looking for a nice stroll, you're lucky to end up here, as this commune in the south of Laonnois has had the great idea of promoting its paths and tracks - there are beautiful maps all over the commune - by means of carefully designed signposting. This route will only take in a (small) part of them, but it will take you to the highest point of the village.

You won't regret it, because from up there, at the foot of the Calvary, what a view! There's also an orientation table on the hill, so you'll be able to see all the surrounding villages, as well as Laon, where you'll be able to see the cathedral towers...

Calvary of Presles-et-Thierny

Rising to a height of almost 160 metres at the end of the aptly named Bois du Moulin, this imposing calvary, which has recently been restored, dominates the surrounding area and offers a fine view over the west of the Laonnois region as well as towards the north, in this case the town of Laon.There is an orientation table on site to help you find your way around...
