Circuit des volcans - Monts Dômes circuit (cyclo loop no. 9)
Description
This tour takes you to the Chaîne des Puys, a volcanic complex of 80 volcanoes dominated by the Puy de Dôme (1,465 m).
Starting from the Aydat volcanic reservoir, you'll make your way through the forests of the Cheire.
You'll reach the Serre mountain plateau (birdwatching site) before descending to Saint-Saturnin, where you'll discover its 12th-century Romanesque church.
You then climb up to Olloix, before heading uphill through the beautiful Monne gorges.
Approx. 1 hr 50 min. at an average speed of 20 km/h.
