Departure: ”Montsegur Pass” (above the castle’s parking) At the panel indicating “LeToula”, ”Campis View Point” and the “Roc du Bamquels la Canalette” take the path on the right hand side that climbs to the meadows. On arriving at the edge of the wood you will see on your left some old barns. At the fork take the path that goes to the left.
Climb alongside the beech wood. You arrive at a path (“ le Pas de Campis “) and gently descend crossing the wooded combe.
Arrive at a second “Pas”. The marked path continues straight on for 50 meters (on your left “ le Roc du Banquels” )
On arrival at the third “Pas” take the right hand pathway that climbs following the rock base. Reaching a fork, take the path to the left and continue along the edge of the wood.
Having crossed this large combe you arrive at the last crest that descends alongside the fence. On leaving the wood turn left along the prairie of gentians (in summer).
Take the path through the broom, descend to a wide path, turn left and come to a small tarmac road that brings you to the village (keep straight on).
Continue on this road that climbs to the chateau. Follow the cemetery wall and then on your left take the small path that leads to the foot of Montsegur (the parking area).
