This pleasant walk that leads you to the resort of Olmes in the pond Appy will discover the fauna and flora of the Pyrenees. Around the pond bog addition, you will find a large botanical diversity.

Take the path which passes behind the Resorts Technical building and go to the left of the teleski “Fage Belle” (1730 meters) (yellow markings).
Climb for about 45 minutes to arrive at the lake/ easy access.
meters after the lake, if lucky, there is the possibility of seeing marmots reintroduced, amongst the scree on the right (yellow markers)
Climb the Col of Lake Appy (2028 meters), difficult access, an accentuated slope which becomes easier (50 meters) (Yellow and red markers).
Descend the maintained trail for about 35 minutes and arrive at Lake Appy (1734 meters).
Arriving at the lake there is a refuge open to the public, this is situated on the left behind the khammo. The lake is fishable, but a fishing licence is required. Then climb further by the Col de Cadene; descend to the resort. (Yellow markers).
Around the pond, besides a peat bog, you will find mouths of wolf, purple foxgloves, elder trees attesting to a very wet biotope on the slope of Saint Bartholomew. You will find many ferruginous rhododendrons, brooms, blueberries, spring gentians and yellow gentians.
