The prehistoric village

Le cormoran est un oiseau aquatique au plumage sombre et à la silhouette élégante. Il se distingue par son aptitude à plonger profondément pour se nourrir de poissons. Son vol est puissant et ses ailes déployées offrent un spectacle saisissant. Les cormorans sont souvent observés en groupe, perchés sur des rochers ou des arbres près des étendues d'eau. Leur présence est un indicateur de la santé des écosystèmes aquatiques. Ces oiseaux marins fascinants symbolisent la liberté et l'harmonie avec la nature. Ils sont présents sur ce petit lac.

Le barrage de Quinson, construit dans les années 1970 mise en eau 1974, il régule le débit de la rivière et fournit de l'électricité à la région environnante. Sa construction a permis de créer les lacs de Quinson, Saint Laurent, Montpezat, offrant des activités telles la pêche et les sports nautiques. Ce barrage joue également un rôle dans la préservation de l'écosystème local en régulant le débit d'eau et en maintenant des conditions favorables à la vie aquatique.

2,500 years BC, pastors of Languedoc garrigues were organizing villages of dry stone huts, sometimes consisting of about forty houses. Some huts had very thick walls and were over 20m long.

Dating back to the late Neolithic – 4,500 years BC, the dolmens (or flat stone table in Breton) are not dwellings (or eternal ones!) but collective graves.

At Pincevent, in the Paris Basin, traces of "stakes" were revealed. Prehistorians imagined that animal skins were stretched over the structure. Dating - 15,000 years. The type of house was similar to that of American Indians.

In the Isère, in the Neolithic (- 5,000 years), men built houses made of wood, mud and reeds. They were grouped in villages called "pile dwellings". Today this hut is no longer present on the site and must be rebuilt.
