Description
For more than a century, Condé-sur-Noireau was a prosperous industrial city, which saw the birth and growth of illustrious characters such as Charles Tellier (The Father of Cold) or the sailor Dumont d'Urville. The city was hard hit by the Allied bombings on June 6 and 7, 1944, it was rebuilt with a new urban plan from 1945 to 1963.
