The route from Philippeville to Mariembourg passes through villages typical of the Fenland region of Namur, notably Samart and Roly with its imposing castle-farm. Near the ruins of Dourbes castle, you’ll reach the Viroin, a wild river that marks the natural border between the Fen and Ardenne regions.
