Overlookink a small mountain lake, this refuge of the Vanoise national park, on the GR5 and the Tour de la Vallaisonnay, proposes a great site seeing on the 3 highest peaks of Savoie.

The Church of St. Sigismund reflects the ups and downs of history. Its magnificent baroque decor coated with gold and cherubs tabernacle will dazzle you!Inside, you can admire a gilded altarpiece featuring cherubs. It was made by Jacques Clérant and Jean-Baptiste Gualaz in 1710. In the nave to the right, there is also an altarpiece of the Rosary dating from 1662 and attributed to François Cuénot from Chambéry. Framed between two mixed columns with caryatids, in the centre of the altarpiece, a high relief depicts the Virgin in Assumption contemplated by Saint Sigismund and a Virgin martyr: the sculpture is a virtuosity of movement and detail. On the entablature, angels assume acrobatic positions.

The valley of Champagny le Haut (1500m) enjoys the status of natural site since 1992 and is characterized by its traditional hamlets grouped, listed in the inventory of architectural heritage.Champagny le Haut, gateway to the Vanoise National Park, is located in a remarkable natural setting at the foot of famous peaks such as the Grande Motte and the Grande Casse and offers many hiking trails and a discovery trail accessible to disabled reduced. Camping and caravanning are prohibited outside the Huttopia Vanoise - Champagny campsite.
