Leaving Mézidon-Canon, you travel a few kilometers on small roads through the Pays d?Auge before joining the voie verte de la Vie. The route skirts the valley of the river Vie, with its rolling hills and meadows shaded by cider apple trees and dotted with the famous Normandy cows. Along the way, you'll be surprised by picturesque manor houses, timber-framed farms and rural churches. The region offers gourmets a full range of local produce: cider, pommeaux, calvados, cheese and farm produce are all there to delight the taste buds. Horses are allowed on the Voie Verte.
