The first stage of this short itinerary takes you to the Sales refuge, set in the heart of an ancient alpine pasture in the Sixt-Passy nature reserve. Along the way, you'll encounter a succession of resurgences, waterfalls and exceptional panoramas.
From the Le Lignon parking lot, let the sound of the waterfalls guide you to the first two waterfalls on this first stage: the Cascade de la Pleureuse and the Sauffaz, which feed the Cascade du Rouget, known as the "Queen of the Alps".
Continue your ascent along the torrent de Sales, which leads to the cascade de Sales and then to the cascade de Trainant. Keep an eye out for ibex and marmots along the way.
The first stage of this short itinerary ends at the Refuge de Sales. The most courageous can continue on to the Dérochoir for a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc valley at sunset.
From 13/06 to 22/09.
Subject to favorable snow and weather conditions.
