Walking loop of the Roue valley

A fascinated glance at the Col de la Roue and you're off to tackle the main difficulty of this hike. Between Petit and Grand Argentier, 25 switchbacks up and 19 down... what better way to blend in with the chamois? Enjoy a refreshing break at the Pas du Roc.
You've done well to overcome this pass, which served as a natural barrier to soldiers. I promise you, if you keep your eyes peeled all the way to the hamlet of Jeu, you'll see the remains of the Maginot Line military barracks dating from the 2nd World War.
