This tour takes you through the heart of the deep Gravières forest, to the "Pont du Diable" (Devil's Bridge) over the Tarentaine, which makes small jumps into water holes called "marmites".
The Gravières forest covers 600 hectares. It was once used by a sawmill on the estate of the same name. The mill employed up to a hundred people before being burnt down during the Second World War. Rebuilt, it was subsequently abandoned.
Departure point: Carrefour de Lavergne.
Take the track on the left (approx. 20 m from the crossroads). Go down through the woods to the forest track.
