Description

This route through the undergrowth offers walkers a pleasant and surprising experience in the immediate vicinity of the town.

On this first part of the Mont Saint Michel slope, accessible to most people from the town center, 3 safe, attractive and combinable loops are open to you.
After a short climb, don't hesitate to take a break on the sit-stand furniture, and you'll reach the "Bois des Fées" flat, where the trails are developed.
En route on the short loop, you'll be able to walk abreast and chat at the same time, thanks to the nice width of the path. And don't worry about being caught out by passing mountain bikes, as the narrower sections of the trail are split between pedestrians and mountain bikers. In the forest, blending in with nature, friendly animals welcome you for playful runs from log to log, or balancing along the trunks. Children will have no shortage of imagination when it comes to staging themselves, so don't forget to take some souvenir photos.
Motivated by discovery, we leave the path leading to Saint Jeoire and head for the "canyon". The rocky staircase will lead you to a pretty panoramic belvedere where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest on the deckchairs.
Depending on your level of fitness, you can choose to return by closing the loop quickly, or continue along a slightly uphill path to the Grand Chanet, where you can enjoy the views over the cluse and Mont Granier. Sunbathing awaits you before you return to the town. Small rural heritage features such as low walls, springs and quarries, all testifying to the rich past of this Mediterranean slope.
