This transformation brought comfort and modernity while preserving the authenticity of the premises. Maureen and Hubert invite you to taste the products made on the mountain pasture. You'll find alpine cow and goat cheese, sausages, fondue, cheese crusts, the Lapisa plate and homemade tarts. An area dedicated to direct sales allows you to take these local products home with you. In winter, skiers are welcome to enjoy the view from the terrace or savour a meal by the fire, while discovering the products produced during the summer on the mountain pastures. In summer, we welcome you to our mountain pasture nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps to discover our daily routine: milking cows and goats and making our various cheeses.

Ideally situated at the Champéry-Planachaux cable car arrival station, the Croix de Culet restaurant welcomes sports and nature lovers whenever the cable car is open.Accessible in mere minutes by cable car, we cater to a diverse clientele with a wide selection of seasonal dishes and local specialties. The one thing all our clients love, without exception, is getting away from it all. The panoramic views from our vast terrace and huge bay windows are spectacular. Everywhere you look, the Dents du Midi and Dents Blanches mountains span the horizon - food for your soul!

Inaugurated in 1987, the iconic red and white Champéry cable car whisks you to a height of 1,962 metres in under 5 minutes.The cable car linking Champéry to the Croix de Culet was built in 1987 by the famous ropeway transport company Garaventa. The 2 cabins hold 125 people, with an hourly flow of 1,000 people. The cable car spans a distance of 899 vertical meters from the departure point at 1,037 m altitude to the arrival point at 1,936 m. At the top, pedestrians in search of tranquillity will be awestruck by the panoramic views from the Croix de Culet while skiers can access the vast Portes du Soleil ski slopes. In summer, mountain bikers can set off for a multitude of downhill and enduro trails and hikers equipped with the Multi Pass can take the cable car and all of the Portes du Soleil lifts for free. At the arrival point, and the jumping-off point for the ski slopes, you will find a restaurant, snack bar, restrooms, and panoramic views from a vast, sunny terrace. How to get here? If you are arriving by car, there is a large car park in front of the cable car. It is free in summer and costs CHF 5.- per day in winter. Overnight parking is not allowed in winter. The AOMC regional train arrives right at the departure station of the cable car ('Champéry' stop).

The Association of Friends of the Illiez Valley Trails, whose aim is to support and encourage hiking tourism in the region, proudly presents its first wildlife observatory on the Illiez Valley Tour route.Built in 2024 below the Lapisa alpine pasture, 30 interpretive panels now complement this observation post equipped with binoculars. These detailed panels provide a wealth of information on the wildlive that makes its homes in the surrounding pastures and forests.
