Les Cycl'O gourmandes : The big loop (departure: Taninges)

A 20 km loop through the villages of Taninges, Verchaix, Morillon, La Rivière-Enverse and Châtillon-sur-Cluses, with a tasting stop at the Tiffanie bakery to discover local specialities. (1) Departure from "Bike Expérience" in Taninges. Take the RD907 towards Verchaix / Samoëns for a few meters, then turn right into "rue de Champfleury", then into "chemin des écoliers". On your left is the "Chartreuse de Mélan" (2), which you will pass alongside, along with its park of contemporary sculptures. As you leave the park, turn right and follow the pedestrian signs with yellow arrows on a green background towards "Morillon par les bords du Giffre" and "lac des Vernays" (3) along the Art et Nature trail. Continue along the Giffre to Verchaix. You will arrive close to the artisanal zone with the Brasserie de la Vallée du Giffre (4). Turn right following the pedestrian and mountain bike markings “Les Grands bois”. Cross the Giffre bridge and follow the Giffre this time on the left bank towards La Rivière-Enverse. At the "Pont Perrière" / "La Grasse" directional post, cross the RD4 and take the "route des champs", cross the place called "Vers le Pont" and follow the blue VTTAE markings of the "Les Grands Bois" circuit. In Cravarin take direction Châtillon-sur-Cluses. (5) At the Nicodex chapel, take the direction of “Fargot d’en Haut” then “Le Plon” and “Châtillon-sur-Cluses”. The gourmet break will be at the Tiffanie bakery (6). Then take the D902 and return towards "Bike Expérience" (1) Be careful, this road is busy.
