The region is dotted with small churches, chapels, and religious sites, sometimes hidden and accessible only to those who know where to look. This heritage is often interwoven with legends, adding an extra layer of charm and mystery.
On this route, you will discover, among other things, the cross of the old burnt-down church in Porcheresse, descend to the Saint Furcy fountain in Bellefontaine, and admire small churches, some officially recognised as remarkable heritage. Along the way, you alternate between wide open landscapes with sweeping views and quiet wooded stretches offering calm and shade.
The circuit starts in Graide, where you immediately enjoy a pleasant section of the well-equipped Lesse–Semois cycle route. It continues mainly along quiet secondary roads, interspersed with two unpaved sections (around 6 km in total). The gradients are never abrupt, but at 55 km, this tour still requires solid stamina.
There are several picnic areas along the route, and you’ll find cafés and restaurants in Paliseul and Bièvre.
