Description
This hike will take you to the Chien-Loup forest and its "inhabitants", the coolness of the forest during the summer months.
From the snow front of Valmeinier 1800 Centre Station, go to the top of the resort by following "sous Pré-Aynard" then after the tunnel take the road which goes up on the right towards "le Roi".
At the "Roi" take the left-hand path, down the way, and follow it until you cross the Eglantiers ski run. After crossing Les Eglantiers, enter the forest following the same path until you reach "sur Chien-Loup". From there, take the direction "Bois Bouchet" and follow the path downhill. At Bois Bouchet, continue in the direction of Chien Loup and then "Epilobe". From there, take the track to the "Croix des Charmettes", then take the direction of "La Saussette" and join Valmeinier 1800 Centre Station.
