Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

/ From the start sign, walk past the post office, then turn right; at the fountain, turn left on route de Besse, then left on rue des Rivaux. Take the D978 to the left and at the first bend before the cross, take the grassy path to the right. Cross the stream and climb up (cascade d'Entraigues). Go right along the campsite, past the entrance and up the steps. At the pond, turn right and walk down the GR 30 path to the right. Cross the road and go straight on (cascade d'Entraigues), cross the bridge over the river, go up into the woods, continue until you reach a T-junction.

/ Fork left, skirt the house and follow the grassy path through the summer pastures (view of the Sancy massif). At the road turn left, 100 m after La Clide, enter the pasture on the right and follow the river for 50 m, crossing it to reach the metal gate. Follow the fence to the right, pass through a second gate and go straight ahead, parallel to the fence on the left. Exit through the gate (view of the Monts du Cantal) and go straight ahead through the meadows towards a fence. Go through the gate and down the grassy path, ignoring a track on the left, to the road.

/ Turn right. At the end of the Redondel hamlet, keep right on the road for 1.1 km. Fork left onto a track, pass a stepladder and follow this stony path through the grasslands (panoramic views of the Cantal mountains, the summer pastures and the Sancy massif) as far as Bogon.

/ At the crossroads, take the grassy path between the embankments to the left of the barn. Ignore the track on the right, go straight ahead, cross the meadow towards a gap in the deciduous hedge and turn right onto a sunken track. Just before the D128 road, take the path on the right overhanging the road. Continue right on a small road, then keep left (view of Egliseneuve-d'Entraigues) and go back down to the D128; take it to the right (view of the waterfall), enter Egliseneuve-d'Entraigues, cross the bridge and rejoin the starting point via the Espinchal road.
