Animals are not allowed on some routes.
/ Place de l'église (church and 17th-century bell) down the main street. After leaving the village, take the first path on the right to join the GR4 at a footbridge over the Saunade.
/ Stay on the left bank and follow the Saunade valley up to the Chabre mill. Before the bridge, turn right onto the asphalt road, cross the hamlet of Viallevelours and continue to the T-junction.
/ Turn left and leave the GR4 (cross dedicated to shepherdess Marie Girodon, view of the Sancy massif). Descend to the Saunade and, at the crossroads, cross it on a small bridge. Go up and through the hamlet of Saunade, then take the first path on the left to the intersection with a small road at the entrance to the village of La Cassière.
/ Cross the village following the tarmac road and, 150 m after the last houses, take a track on the left (view of the Chaîne des Puys). Go down into the woods, cross a stream and go up to the left. At the crossroads in the woods, turn right to reach the hamlet of Les Vialles; cross it to reach a pond. Go back up through the woods to reach a crossroads of five paths.
/ Turn left (GR4) on a wide track (views of the Chaîne des Puys, Sancy, Landogne and Combrailles) to La Borderie. Keep left for 100 m, then left again on the path that winds down through the woods. Cross the Saunade (footbridge) back to point 1. Turn right to return to Landogne.
