Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

1/ At the signpost, head down towards the beach and join the left bank of the Sioule near the tennis court. Walk up the river as far as a metal gate and continue straight ahead. The path dips to the right, overhangs the river, drops back down and follows the river to a meadow. Climb 3 stepladders in succession. Continue until you reach a wide country lane.

2/ Take this track to the right, which rises to the hamlet of Biesse (view of "Château Rocher"). Keep to the right through the village. At the crossroads, turn right up the road, then left and left again at the next crossroads as far as Vendoges. At the road, turn left (viewpoint over the Puy de Dôme) and go through the village as far as the last crossroads (picnic area and houses with stepped roofs).

3/ Go straight ahead and keep to the right. Pass under the high-voltage power line, then climb back up to the crossroads. At this crossroads, go straight ahead towards Navoirat. At the fork in the road, keep to the right; further on, leave a road to the right and continue straight ahead until you reach the next crossroads (with a view of the village of Menat on the left and a panorama of Navoirat and the Rochecol meander on the right).

4/ Leave the village of Navoirat on your left and continue straight on towards the Menat bridge. At the bottom of the descent, continue straight ahead on the road back to the start.

Animals

Yes. Dogs must be kept on a lead due to the presence of herds.
