Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

/ In front of the Chapelle des Garniers, take the first asphalt road on the right towards Panthèze. Leave the village on this track, which becomes gravelled. At the hamlet of Panthèze, leave a track on the right and continue straight ahead. At the crossroads, follow the track up to the road on the right.

/ Cross the road and take the track opposite. Continue straight ahead on this track, ignoring the left-hand path. Cross the railroad bridge. 20 m further on, turn right into Jambost (view of Mauzun château and Comté on right). In the square, at the fountain, turn left onto the road. Leave the hamlet and follow the road to Chopine (view of Monts Dôme, Monts Dore, Limagne, Maringues). Cross the hamlet.

/ At the crossroads, go straight on towards Bonnemoy (view of the Comté and Sancy ranges). Cross the hamlet. After the barn, turn right. At the crossroads, take the left-hand track. Continue on the main track, ignoring the paths on the left. At the crossroads (at the clearing on the right, A-R Pierre-Folle, view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy: 25 min), go straight on, then 150 m further on, at the fork, continue straight on.

/ Cross Le Cheix. 150 m after the hamlet, at the crow's-foot, take the path on the right. Ignore a path on the left (view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy on the right). At the crossroads, turn right. After the Fracard houses, turn left along the path to Gosson. In the hamlet, turn left (view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy: go around Gosson). Leave Gosson on the main road, then at the bend in the road, take the track opposite. After 250 m at the crossroads, go down the road opposite.

/ At Chochat, take the right-hand road. At the end of the hamlet, leave the road and take the path on the left. Continue along this path (view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy) as far as Cros Perdrigeon (view of Cros Perdrigeon castle). At the crossroads, turn left onto the track, then left again at the fork in the road. Pass under the railroad line, alongside the school. Turn right to return to the start.
