Location complements
From Randan (north-east of Clermont-Ferrand), turn right on the D59, which becomes the D93 towards St-Sylvestre Pragoulin, St-Yorre, then right on the C3 to Vieux St-Sylvestre. At the bus shelter in the village, turn left onto rue des Noyers as far as La Doualle.

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.
Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
1/ Opposite the start sign, turn right onto the tarmac road. At the T-junction, keep left, ignoring the first track on the right, and descend to the railway bridge exit.
2/ From here, continue downhill, past a stream and up the other side of the valley on a hillside track at the edge of the forest. Follow this path to the left, as far as the entrance to Les Bénédins.
3/ Cross the hamlet. Continue downhill. Cross the stream. Leave a track on the left, cross another stream and take a track on the left. Take a bridge over the railroad. Follow this path back to the starting point.
