Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

1/ Behind the church, take rue Saint-Roch, walk alongside the church and down rue de l'Eglise.
After the fountain, turn left towards the town hall. Go right as far as an old town gate (remains of a tower on the right). Go down Rue de la Vigne-Reine. Follow the wall to the right, then turn left down to a small road. Follow this road to the left until you reach a track on the right, 20 m before the D985.

2/ Take this track, which runs parallel to the road, to reach it further on. Turn right and follow the signs for Bougerol for 100 m, (another yellow PR on the left). Go straight up a wide track to the Croix des Rameaux (viewpoint). Continue straight on to the D22.

3/ At the road, go left, past the junction with the D15, and take the first track on the right. At the T-junction, turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach the D22, which you follow on the right for 100 m.

4/ At Puy-Merle, turn right. Continue straight ahead until you reach a T-junction on the edge of a wood.

5/ Turn right into the village of Glénat. Cross the village to the fountain, turn towards Artonne, then left into Rue du Château. Take the first track on the right, and go straight up.

6/ At the asphalt road, turn right, then left to a cross. Turn left down the road, take the first track on the left, and head for an antenna.

7/ At the picnic area (site aménagé du coteau du puy Saint-Jean), go down through the gate to the orientation table. Continue left, down towards the arboretum, and join the road at the gate. Turn right towards Artonne and return to the starting point.
