Built by the Compagnie Générale de Navigation in the 1880s, the warehouses house a dwelling, ship repair shops, ironwork shops, offices for river companies and stores. Now private, the buildings belong to the general inventory of cultural heritage and are concrete proof of the boom that the city experienced with the construction of the Canal Saint-Louis.

The city of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône has 6 ports. The 2 dry ports offer a total of 3200 dry berths depending on the size of the boats and more than 200 mooring rings for visitors. Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône is located between Corsica and the Balearics, it is an ideal starting point. The mouth of the Rhône is a real gateway to Northern Europe.

In the heart of the Carteau cove: Mediterranean hotspot for shellfish production. Anse de Carteau is an exceptional site for the culture of mussels and oysters. The "Carteau mussel" and newly "the Carteau oyster" are quality shellfish, fleshy and tasty, to discover and enjoy.
