De la batterie de Longues au cap Manvieux

Leave the carpark and head toward the village. After 100m, turn into the road on the left

Ignore the path on the right. Continue for 1km. At the crossroads, turn left into the second path on the right.

Follow the path which then becomes a small road. Ignore the 2 paths on the right. Follow the road which turns into a large path, until you reach the Carrefour des Fonderies. - you can make a detour to the cape of Manvieux nearby, overlooking the remains of the artificial harbour of Arromanches and the cliffs of the Bessin.

At the crossroads “des Fonderies”, turn right into the road leading to the village of Tracy-sur-Mer. Carefully cross the D 514 and follow the path opposite. Turn left, then take the road on your right and walk through the village. At the fork, walk another 200m on the right. At the hamlet « Croix de l’An », turn into the path on the right, until you reach the road D 127.

Follow the road to the right for 200 m. Turn into the path on the left, and into the next one on the right. Continue on this main path ignoring those on the right and on the left. Carry straight on until you come to a small road at the hamlet of Fontenailles. Continue, bypassing the hamlet by the left. Turn right into rue du clocher. --- You can turn left to make a detour to the vestiges of the church of Fontenailles (11th century) and return the same way. Take the hamlet’s main street, follow it to the left then take the second road on the right.

Carefully cross the D 514, continue straight on. Turn into the first path on the left, walk on for 950 m, then turn right. Turn left, coming out on the road D 104 and return to the carpark on the right.
