Description

You'll start the walk in one of the most beautiful tourist spots in the Province of Liège: the Gileppe dam complex, surrounded by the vast Hertogenwald forest. Over a 5-kilometre stretch, you'll ride along its lake in a breathtaking setting featuring, among other things, a lion, a monumental sculpture by Félix-Antoine Bouré, 13.50 metres high, and a 77.6-metre panoramic tower! You will then cycle through the unspoilt valley of the Soor, a small torrential stream. Don't hesitate to stop for a moment at the observatory for a glimpse of the herbivores of our forests (deer and roe deer). You will then stroll through the charming little village of Herbiester, at an altitude of around 400 metres.

This is a magnificent walk in spring and early summer, when the broom and other wild flowers are in bloom.
