Take on the Grand Croisse Baulet from l'Avenaz, a challenging and sporting hike. With a highest point of 2,236 meters, this route, classified as difficult (red level), promises breathtaking mountain panoramas.

Please note: Patous, or guard dogs, are present on the Croisse Baulet mountain pasture from July to around mid-September.
As indicated by municipal by-law no. 18/2024, domestic dogs are prohibited on the communal mountain pasture around the Croisse Baulet mountain between July 1 and September 15.

Les Belvédères du Mont-Blanc map on sale for €7 at the tourist office.
The parking lot is located before the bridge, and you can park in a herringbone pattern on your left.

Whatever your hike, remember to pack cereal bars, plenty of water, sunglasses, sun cream, a small first-aid kit, and clothing suited to the season and weather forecast.
This itinerary can also be done accompanied, by hiring a mountain leader.
Be vigilant during the summer period about crossing areas guarded by guard dogs
1/ Park at the Lezaive d'en haut parking lot, at the start of the forest road (possibly Les Plaines).
2/ Take a dirt track leading fairly directly up to Les Plaines,
3/ At Les Plaines, follow the Avenaz, Col de l'Avenaz,
4/ At the Col de l'Avenaz, follow signs for Grand Croisse Baulet.
5/ Descend via Petit Croisse Baulet,
6/ Pass through the Col du Jaillet,
7/ Return to the forest road;
Yes. Dogs must be kept on a leash. Please note that domestic dogs are forbidden on the communal mountain pasture around Montagne de Croisse Baulet, between July 01 and September 15. Contact the Tourist Office for further information.
