Balcon du Téléphérique - MTB
Description
This country walk reveals two very different faces of Salève. In the north, it forms a balcony overlooking the Geneva Basin; in the south, there are woods and alpine pastures. It's a pleasant walk as well as a cable car trip worthy of an "eco-citizen".
Take the cable car up the mountain to see the scenery on the way up. At the top, you'll find a breathtaking panoramic view of Geneva, a viewing table, a botany trail and a playground. As you climb, Mont Blanc comes gradually into view. The path back to the cable car snakes its way between alpine pastures and forests.

Point de Vue du Téléphérique du Salève
De l'esplanade du téléphérique, vue dégagée sur Genève et son jet d'eau avec en toile de fond le jura. Un refuge de tranquillité avec un spectacle à couper le souffle.Si vous aimez le sport alors ceci est l'endroit pour vous, avec un choix de randonnées à pied, le parapente, le vélo de montagne.

A Playground is situated at the cable car station at an altitude of 1,100 metres. One-off attractions and plays throughout the year, with full programme of events available on the website.

Tips
Close to the path: exhibition in the upper cable car terminus, botany trail, restaurant with panoramic view, paragliding takeoff area. Not far away: the village of Monnetier-Mornex, once a high-altitude resort, the old Salève funicular terminus, 19th-century hotels and boarding houses, Ermitage Castle and small shops. There are cafes and restaurants in La Croisette.
