Temporary exhibitions.Founded in 1866 around a gallery of the illustrious men of Pont-de-Vaux, the Musée Chintreuil is housed in a handsome late 17th-century townhouse. It boasts a fine art collection featuring Antoine Chintreuil's luminous, intimate landscapes, a forerunner of Impressionism, and a room devoted to calligraphy and works by Jacques Le Roux. Finally, there's a cabinet of curiosities, featuring animals and minerals, objects brought back from faraway lands and exotic birds. The museum organizes temporary exhibitions every season.
