Hike to the Lac Cornu from the Planpraz cable car

From Chamonix: first a gondola to Planpraz at 2000m, then a cable car to Le Brévent at 2525m. Lac Cornu is a mountain lake located between the summit of the Index chairlift and Planpraz. The neighbouring Lacs Noirs are just ten minutes away.Located about 10 minutes from the Black Lakes. The Lac Cornu is snowed in or iced over almost 9 months of the year! It is a quiet and peaceful place from which you will be able to see most of the time, a beautiful band of wild ibexes, hanging on the walls surrounding this mountain lake.
