Walking Trail : Circuit du Niederwald

The start and finish are in front of the tourist information office that houses the media library and a museum. Let's follow the red circle, heading left along Rue Principale (beside Place de la Mairie). Let's walk past the church, cross the Seltzbach, and take in the roadside cross to reach the youth centre and the sports fields. We go into the forest and follow part of the fitness trail. The forest track follows the Sauer, to the right and upwards, and takes us to an old level crossing keeper's house. Let's head to the right, cross the road and the level crossing to go back into the forest to the left. Before reaching the motorway, let's take the fork to the left. As we leave the forest, let's take the little asphalted road to the level crossing, without crossing it. Let's fork to the right and walk alongside the cycle track. We go back into the village to take the road from Hatten to Koramic, where we turn right on to the D328. Let's walk past the fine-looking roundabout and take the Avenue du Général Schneider by the water tower to go back to where we started.
