Departing from Haguenau, capital of northern Alsace, you'll cycle along the Moder valley cycle route to the former commune of Uberach, home to the famous craft brewery of the same name. After leaving Pfaffenhoffen, the main town in the Val de Moder and home to the surprising Musée de l'Imagerie Populaire, the route invites you to discover the agricultural villages of the Hanau region. Hills, forests and cereal crops make up the landscape as far as Bouxwiller. Bouxwiller boasts an exceptional built heritage and is the birthplace of the famous pretzel. Arrival in Hochfelden, home to France's oldest independent family brewery, marks a change of scenery. Don't miss a visit to the Villa Meteor, where you'll learn all about how this traditional Alsatian beverage is made. After crossing the canal de la Marne-au-Rhin, the hop fields of the Pays de la Zorn and Kochersberg accompany the hiker to Haguenau.
