A stroll through the Cleebourg vineyards offering beautiful views!
From the railway station car park, walk along Avenue de la Gare to the roundabout at the entrance to the town centre.
Follow the red rectangle towards Col du Pigeonnier, walk along the river for 300 metres, then turn left onto Rue du Château d'Eau. Turn left again onto a path, then join Rue de Turkheim, followed by Rue de la Décapole, before turning right onto the path.
Once you reach the RD3 departmental road, turn right onto the path running alongside it to reach M.F. Scherhol (altitude 313 m). You can reach the wooden hut overlooking the wine-growing village of Rott with its panoramic view by following the red rectangle. Continue through the Hochwald massif, between the Vosges mountains and the Alsatian foothills. Climb the Edouard Dietenbeck path and continue uphill towards the pass, still following the red rectangle.
At the junction with the yellow rectangle, follow the latter to the left (parallel to the red ring) to reach the Pigeonnier pass and the Club Vosgien refuge (open at weekends).
Cross the RD3 carefully and, at the information gate, take the green-marked farm track. Turn left onto the path leading down to Houx Géant, a remarkable tree of exceptional size. When you reach the RD77, cross it to visit the Cleebourg wine cellar, before continuing on your left. Then, continue to follow the green disc, passing through the village of Steinseltz, which will take you into Wissembourg via the cemetery.
