Description
This route will circle around the Grand Ballon, rather than going over it.
Although you do not have to climb to the summit of the Vosges mountain, this route is no less difficult, as it contains 3 mountain passes.
Firstly, you will climb the Col Amic, then the Col de Geishouse Höh. Get a bit of respite at Kruth.
Admire the Kruth-Wildenstein Lake before tackling the final ascent of the day, which will take you to the Markstein resort.
Once at the top, enjoy the descent and arrive in Guebwiller.
