Set off along the Blind watercourse to discover the landscapes of the Ried. This botanical trail is signposted and decorated with tree markers, and some 20 educational panels present the many facets of the region. A detour takes you to a burial mound where a Celtic chariot and an ivory-headed sword have been found, a mission cross
and, more recently, a dozen benches and two picnic tables along the trail.... One of the most interesting sites on the Alsace plain to discover with the whole family. A nature and history guide is available from the Ohnenheim and Elsenheim town halls. The botanical trail is equipped with a dozen geocaches, each more original than the last.
For children, the treasure hunt is a fun and educational half-day outing for the whole family.
The trail is equipped with two picnic shelters, one on the Elsenheim side after the old Peterschmitt sawmill, and the other on the Ohnenheim side at the entrance to the trail in the extension of the mill.
Thank you for respecting and preserving the good condition of the site.
