Cécile and Sébastien will guide you through the Limousin region on foot or by mountain bike. There's a choice of 17 rental units, including 13 mobile homes, as well as Lodges tents ideally positioned on the campsite, and an unusual accommodation option: the Kota Nature! 45 bare, grassy pitches separated by hedges are also available for traditional camping in complete tranquillity, with tent, caravan, van, camper van or bicycle. Possibility of renting a 48m² reception tent with floor for camping guests. Equipped with a heated swimming pool (open from June 24 to September 8), a snack bar and a convenience store, this campsite is sure to provide you with an unforgettable vacation!

Ambazac has its own pumptrack. Just a stone's throw from the town center, this facility is open to all cycling enthusiasts, whether mountain bikers or BMX riders, of all ages and abilities, for the practice of so-called "extreme" cycling sports. An ideal location that combines space, calm and safety, and benefits from the cool waters of the Le Beuvreix stream. The circuit is made up of several consecutive bumps, dips and banked turns, organized in a large closed loop. Ambazac locals and tourists alike can enjoy the peace and quiet of this unspoilt setting.

Fed by two large streams flowing down from the hills, the Jonas lake spreads over 20 hectares at the edge of the village. This natural setting offers a breathtaking view of the Monts d'Ambazac. Its incomparable rural setting is ideal for hiking and fishing. An educational and awareness-raising trail (panels created in partnership with the LPO) tells the story of the pond and the richness of its fauna (fish and birds) and flora. A progressive sports trail equipped with 8 apparatus, designed and implemented by the municipal youth council, is also available to all. Other services include: a mountain bike base with access to 19 signposted circuits (sporting or family itineraries); grassy play areas; parking lot; dry toilets. The nearby 3-star Ecrin Nature campsite is the ideal place to enjoy all this.

Origine du haut-Moyen Âge puisque vers 650, le prévôt du monastère d'Ambazac fait capter l'eau de la montagne du Breuil pour alimenter les travailleurs de l'abbaye et les moines. Prend de l'importance en 1125 quand l'abbaye de Grandmont est fondée à la suite de l'installation des moines chassés du Muret. Son emplacement, toujours actuel, était à l'embranchement de 2 routes dont l’une menait à Grandmont. Était empruntée par les pèlerins, religieux, cavaliers, les Plantagenêt et leurs compagnons d'armes et même de très importants dignitaires de l'Eglise comme les papes Innocent II et Clément V.

Pendant la période estivale, la baignade est autorisée et surveillée par 2 maîtres-nageurs sur ce plan d’eau de 22 hectares situé en contrebas des monts d’Ambazac, aux portes de la commune. Ce loisir gratuit profite à toutes les générations et à tous les publics. Le site propose également un camping, un sentier d’interprétation (histoire de l’étang, de sa faune et flore), un sentier de randonnée qui fait le tour du plan d’eau, un parcours sportif (8 agrès), une base VTT (19 circuits balisés), des aires de jeux gazonnées, la pratique de la pêche et des toilettes sèches. La mairie d’Ambazac programme pendant l’été des événements culturels gratuits : 04-07 spectacle de marionnettes sur l’eau, 11-07 concert de reprise de Queen, 25-07 et 15-08 cinéma plein air, 26-07 feu d’artifice et marché festif, 08-08 concert des Rennais de Mokhtar, 29-08 karaoké.
