Le site de Saint-Symphorien est plus ancien qu’il n’y paraît, et au 19ème siècle il comptait même des écoles et des commerces.Les bases de l’église remontent à 1300. La première église a été démolie durant la guerre de 100 ans, puis reconstruite au milieu du 15ème siècle. Chapelle, prieuré, l’église a évolué et est inscrite aux monuments historiques depuis 1948. Cette église est étonnante de par ses plafonds bicolores et surtout par sa situation géographique. Son choeur est construit sur la commune de Caylus, et sa nef est sur la commune de Puylaroque. La source de Saint-Symphorien était réputée pour soigner le enfants malades. Elle est située en contrebas de l’église, de l’autre côté du passage de la rivière Sietges. Les estropiés étaient plongés nus dans la source et dans le canal qu’elle alimente. Ils abandonnaient leurs vieux vêtements et en recevaient des nouveaux. Elle était surnommée « source de vie ». Profitez du site natura 2000 avec les 4 sentiers proposés par La Symphorine : entre 4 et 12 km de rando au départ de la chapelle.

Le lavoir de la fontaine de Saint Martin a été restauré par "CITRUS" Solidarité Jeunesses et les bénévoles de la commune en Juillet 2004.
