Come down off the mountains to visit the Lac du Verney and enjoy a cool bike ride. The views over the surrounding valleys from each side of the lake are always different, A quiet and beautiful ride!
ROUTE
From Oz station (ski resort), ride down the D44a to Roberand, turn left towards Le Boulangeard, carry on along the D44 to Le Rafour and join up with the D526 that will take you to Allemond. Ride up the lane to Allemond church for lovely views over the lake and surrounding countryside, then go down to the dam to reach the lake and its watersports centre. Take the quiet D43 towards Le Villaret, joining up with the road to the Col de la Croix de Fer, before turning right and riding alongside the lake. You'll see the Hydrelec Museum on your right. Carry on to the road to Oz and ride back up again to Oz station.

The water sports centre at the Lac du Verney is open in July and August for activities including paddle boats, canoes, sailing dinghies and paddle boards.The lake stands at a 725 m altitude, extends over 75 hectares and is of variable depth. Authorised activities (lifeguard-supervised): windsurfing, canoeing, dinghy sailing, pedal boats. Prohibited activities: swimming, diving, powerboating and jet skiing.
