The Stone of the Ardenne 10,9 kms

It’s thanks to my admiration for the city that Dutch tourists come to La Roche. Follow your pathand at the crossroads you'll admire on your right a wonderful outcrop of schist from the formation of la Roche. This stone has a puffy aspect and is cut into layers. This stone has been used to makes slates from France to the Rhine in Martelange, Warmifontaine, Neufchâteau, Herbeumont, Alle-sur-Semois, Rimogne, Fell, Mayen...

My story will be told all along the walk and my house keeps the memory of a strange tragedy, still living in the hearts of the people living in La Roche. Follow your way and once at the crossroads, you can admire me on your left.

I recreate settings to introduce you to the past life but I also present products manufactured by people who are good at handwork.

My religious spot is located in the middle of the forest, where there used to be water.

Thanks to my structure, built without any cement, I foster many living species.

My legend says I am isolated from everything and that I turn on myself thanks to the bells of the Church at midnight.

It is said that the place where I am was once the setting of a dark and satanic story centuries ago. Today, only ruins remain.
